This web page used to provide links to four kinds of maps: "OS map via Bing", "Ordnance Survey map", "OpenStreetMap map" and "Bing map". It now only provides three. I have removed "Ordnance Survey map" because it used OS OpenSpace and the Ordnance Survey have now removed OS OpenSpace. Although they have replaced OS OpenSpace by OS Data Hub, the latter only provides OS 1:50000 mapping if you get a written agreement from each visitor to your web page and I do not want to do that.

This web page needs to find places that match what you typed. In order to find such places, this web page has searched the data of OS Open Names. This data is Ordnance Survey data © Crown Copyright and Database Right 2022. It is released with the Open Government Licence (OGL). Currently this web page is using the version of OS Open Names that was created by the OS on 4th July 2022. The plan is to make this web page use the latest version of OS Open Names very soon after it has been released by the OS.
The crow-flies distance column attempts to display the distance from the nearest place that has a reasonably high population. In order to find such places, this web page has used the data of the 2001 Census provided by the Office for National Statistics. This information is subject to the conditions of Crown copyright.
